The Friends of Tad White Community extend a very HEARTY thank you for those who gave time and generous support for Tad White.The recent event raised $20,000 to help relieve some of the heavy financial burden that Tad is carrying.

Over the last 18 months, Tad White has waged a successful battle against cancer and shingles. Recently, complications from his battle resulted in Tad’s body being attacked by a flesh eating bacteria that was extremely serious and life threatening.

As we move full-speed ahead into the holiday season and wind down another rewarding year with Friends for Friends, I wanted to take a moment to thank you for your continued generosity. The holiday season of Christmas always brings into focus the understanding that the real joy of the season comes from what we are able to give, rather than what we receive. It is in this spirit that fuels Friends for Friends to help our neighbors in need all year round, but in particular during the Christmas season.

Don't miss out on Friends for Friends night with the Phillies, September 25th vs the Washington Nationals. We have a block of 200 tickets and have less then 20 tickets left (as of August 13th). We need to know by the end of June at the latest.

The Friends for Friends Annual Golf Outing held on April 27th at Paxon Hollow was a great success and SOLD OUT. The hole sponsors were everywhere and the raffle donations were awesome.

They had met as first graders at Holy Cross School and continued their friendship through graduation from Cardinal O'Hara High School, followed by college, marriage and beyond. Then, in October 1995, something unexpected brought them together in a new way: Alfred Patrone was diagnosed as having cancer.

It seems hard to believe, but your Friends for Friends organization is heading into its 16th year of service to area families in need.
FfF is becoming more connected to the world through social media technology that we hope will allow us to stay closer to our current “Friends” and help us grow our network of supporters.
